Anse Source d’Argent, Island of La Digue, Seychelles
There is no question as to why this is one of the most photographed beaches in the world, bringing a whole new level to the idea of tranquillity. The Seychelles, off the coast of Africa, consists of 116 islands, each as charming as the next. Seychelles offer visitors an almost endless number of amazing beaches to experience, with the Anse Source d’Argent beach definitely being one of the best. Shielded by a nearby reef, the waters are extremely calm, making it the perfect place to snorkel or take a relaxing dip. The gigantic granite boulders with their unusual curves make this beach feel like something straight out of Jurassic Park, although you don’t have to worry about any dinosaurs showing up.
Praia da Adraga, Sintra, Portugal
Situated within the Serra da Arrábida Natural Park, this beach is one of the best that nature has to offer. With its white sandy beaches, assorted shades of blue waters and lush green colours of the pine forest hills above, your camera may just explode as a result of all the vibrant colours. The sheltered bay makes it possible for divers to enjoy the diverse marine life below. When visiting this beach, you should definitely consider spending a night or two at one of the many cosy guesthouses that are spread across the area. They do a great job of providing a true Portuguese experience.
Bloubergstrand, Cape Town, South Africa
This amazing beach is known as one of the best places to view one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature, Table Mountain. If you have ever seen a postcard of a tranquil shoreline, with Table Mountain in the background, chances are the photo was taken from this beach. With a number of fantastic restaurants and bars nearby, this is definitely one of the best places to sit back, sip on a cocktail and watch the stunning sunset.
